@Nawenchan Sara Ramirez was in Spamalot (the Monty Python musical) on Broadway. The writers saw her performance and wrote the role of Callie specifically for her. I'm pretty sure she has a Tony for her role in Spamalot.

In the beginning of this episode I started thinking of George, and Izzie, and Addison and Denny, and all the characters that we've 'lost' during the series, and I thought: "Why does Calleigh get a musical?" But then she started singing, and the more I saw and heard the more mesmerized I was. It was beautiful... Go Calleigh! And go all you other actors and characters as well! You rock!
