Part 2 of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWO1WTMxwVU

I don't usually go in for all these drama-related videos and I'm not the most active member of the Japanese Youtube Community, but here are my humble thoughts on living in Japan and whether it's possible to 'become' Japanese. Since my video is a response, it would be best for you to watch the videos below first to get into the debate. Particularly, watch Hikosaemon's video and Hiroko's videos since I reference it them lot. Feel free to comment and make video responses, but be civil and gentle :).

The drama in brief (taken from a comment Hikosaemon made:):
"The Drama: Hiroko said "in Japan you ARE a foreigner, and that's okay". Zep picks up on this phrase of Hiroko's and responds "I want Japanese people to treat me equally" Crapstorm ensues with Zep fans attacking Hiroko a racist. Victor calls Zep clueless and unable to comprehend the point that it's actually okay to be a gaijin. Blkunk unsubs victor and demands to be recognized as a human being."

  • you cannot become Japanese....to be Japanese, you have to be born with Japanese blood (ie native Japanese Islander blood) in you. Your genes have to have true Japanese DNA, from the true Japanese race. End of story yo.....

  • @madman3247 Yup, to become a Japanese native is impossible. You need Japanese blood. But becoming Japanese in the cultural sense is not impossible, I think.

  • I like your style - you are erudite....

GimmeaBreakman is an oaf and caustic- he should bow to you - he is a house

owning tourist . While you, gakura, are highly articulate and good at promoting

    cultural understanding -cheers

  • @leemadoo Thanks leernadoo. I think we just have different styles more than anything (and Victor loves drama ^^;)

  • Next time I make a video like this, I'll come to you and ask you to make one instead. Very very good explanation. Thank you!

  • @HIROKOCHANNEL Not at all! You're very eloquent yourself :)

  • @owenjd you....are quite late.....in this response.....makes you null ^_^

  • @madman3247 There are multiple indigenous groups of Japanese. Modern day Japanese, like most of the world, have mixed genetic heritage, yo.

  • Japan willbe oepn after they accept Trans Pacific Partnership .but at the same time Japan will be Americanized .

  • omoi! enjoyed that very much :)

  • @MrCondor007

How about a similar asian looking people like korean or chinese

    to act like Japanese?

  • you can become Russian, British, Italian, Chinese, Thai etc....but you can`t become Japanese. Becoming Japanese in the "cultural sense" as you say, would only make you seem silly. Acting Japanese is not natural for a gaijin...

  • Omoi...

    Thanks for the video!!

  • Thank you..
