@svenhoek12321 "Haven't" and "don't" are in different clauses, therefore not a double negative. Confusing for someone as self-righteous as you. Go ask your English teacher, if you are still in high school (I notice that you are 18). I bet you don't even know what the "If you haven't got anything nasty to say" phrase was a takeoff of, do you?

Come on, give me more credit. It's in fact the "HAVEN'T" and the "DON'T" that makes it like a double negative, maybe you should go dust off your ol' english books. You said if you have nothing nice to say don't say it (try to say that at least) in the same comment that you stereotype New Yorkers as jerks.

@svenhoek12321 OK, "Thor", using "haven't" and "nasty" in the same sentence is NOT a double negative. Go study your English grammar. And why am I a hypocrite? I once lived in NYC, and like MOST people who have lived there for a while and left, they find New Yorkers among the most negative people they have met. I meant the NYC comment as a bit of a joke, too. A hypocrite is a person who does one thing and says another. YOU were the one who issued the first sarcastic comment!
