This first person view is so brilliant and clever for 1947, why haven't many modern films followed this? I know some films have short views of First person, but why not have it entirly though a film.

Many people don't like the subjective camera,
I think it's brilliant!...I've seen this
movie many times and I just love it.Oh and,
you're right "boldello",Audrey Totter is
very good looking!!!

@Daltonson Do you know "enter the void"? from the director Gaspard Noé. The first half of the movie is a first person view of the principal character... who is taking drugs. I really enjoyed this movie. Maybe you will?

@Daltonson Sarah Kane tried to fund such a film in the 90s, but it didnt wok out. it should have been a short film on eating disorders.

When Gaspar Noe was tripping on Magic Mushrooms and watched this, he decided to film "Enter the Void" In first person also. Brilliant.

"I don't see this as anything but dialogue! If it wasn't visible it could have beeen written in any genre!"
Hitchcock's "Obsession" is worth a look, in this same experimental POV genre.
And The Firesign Theatre's "Nick Danger" was born here.
