Vossler is just as hard as Belias, but in his own way. Fighting Belias takes a lot of concentration, impressive timing and also fast fingers. The battle against him is a long one, meaning that you improve your skills significantly even when you screw up somewhere in the middle.

Vossler requires all that, but the fight is much shorter. He has 6 thousand less HP and has lower defences, well, until he reaches critical health and gets the annoying Defence Boost.

What really makes this short battle difficult is Enrage. Vossler has an impressive combo rate at the very beginning of the battle, but when he gets to critical health and uses Enrage on himself, watch out! He will no longer need to wait between attacks, so he will attack you over and over and, thanks to low health, combo like hell! I've seen an around 12 hit combo once, so don't be surprised to find yourself raped here.

I actually found it impossible to heal your characters successfully with 2 characters healing at once AND the changing equipment trick. I kinda got lucky in this vid, but it took countless attempts to be confident in what I was doing.

Ashe should get all Vossler's hate quickly, attacking in berserk and haste. Penelo should be brought in and bleed herself. Vossler will sense magick and will Reflect himself. THAT's no good! Reflect Penelo as well! Take that, traitor! Cast Protect on Ashe when Vossler is nearing the 50% mark of his health bar and don't do anything funny with Penelo, we don't want her getting any hate (fortunately, the next few bosses will only take your location into account).

When Vossler uses Enrage, make sure Ashe is no longer berserked and not attacking anymore (do not renew berserk when it has run out). Dedicate Vaan and Ashe to healing whoever gets hit. Depending on the combo rate, they may get owned regardless of your effort. Penelo should be switched in and cast Sleep on herself. It will bounce off and, hopefully, lull Vossler to his last dream ever, a nightmare!

Don't waste any time now! A Reflectga on the party should follow quickly and Penelo should cast Aero 3 times. It will do impressive damage, as: 1) Vossler is asleep, 2) Penelo is in critical health and has the Leather Gorget equipped, 3) Aero bounces off 3 times per casting.

Vossler tends to suddenly awaken and quickly take someone out, according to my experience, so it's a good idea to poke him with a spear before he gets to wake up.

Vossler is out of health, and captain Basch (the real one) commands him to die. He follows the orders and Bhujerban moogles do a slow dance to celebrate his failure. Hooray!

Welp, without Enrage, there would be no need to put him to sleep. I would just heal with Vaan and have Ashe attack in Berserk.
