  • I preferred the Mark 3 trains myself. They were a better design.

They bought these Railcars for "Split & Join" services. For example, at Dublin passengers going to Galway and Westport will get on the same train. It will leave Dublin with six carriages and will be split when it arrives in Athlone with three carriages going to Galway and the other three going to Westport. On the way back, both three car trains will be rejoined at Athlone and will arrive in Dublin as a six car train.

  • 75 not 60

  • I've been on that train,it is a real pleasure,so clean and comfortable. And of course the irish accent is to die for.

  • there ok yeah they are confortable but nothing compared to the mark 3s.

yeah they can do 100mph but they would never do that speed on the sligo line there limited to 60mph max

  • Very nice video, If some one wants to see Lithuanian trains, can see on my video's. Thanks

  • They can do 100mph but obviously it depends on track limit. They are manufacured by the Rotem in Korea

  • i have been on this train its awsome and its also comfortable
