  • Yeah - Buzzard's 327 is way faster than my flatty, but he red-lighted that one.

  • The track is Little River Dragway, just south of Temple, Tx. Been in operation since the 60's at least... under the shade of pecan trees... amazing place. Track is quarter-mile... flathead ran 16.4, Buzzard's SBC ran 13-ish... faster now!

  • Yeah... I didn't shoot it. DRIVE ON shot the launch, and KRUPANUT shot the finish. I just spliced them together to show my flathead getting thrashed.

  • nice.

  • Is that a Red Light I'm seeing?

  • aint nouthin more badass than 2 classic hot rods racing

  • they are cool..and they are old..if you like that then cool..if you like newer technology..thats cool too...My coupe is diff...31 studebaker w/1969 lincoln 460..I love mine..and I love these...nobody has a bad hotrod

  • its nistalgic i like flat heads its not bout the fastest car its what u wnt out of it a flat head sounds drives awsome

  • Way cool!!!

  • Flatheads are going faster every day, porting and realiving ideas are getting better bottom ends stronger. For what I paid for the conneting rods I could have built a good running small block chevy bought a 700 r4 from my buddy & been on the road& not had to think about the stupid vacum advance only distributor, tran adapter , pressurizing the coolant, getting the dang stuck valves out, major inspecting of everything, cleaning 50 yrs of crud for the bottom of the block. The look, the sound...,

  • Not bad for a flathead. I own a flattie powered 50. Counting the days for my small block transplant.

  • That still looks to be a pretty healthy flattie. Built flats sound really good, too.
