is this a true gyrocopter, or is it just an airplane with little fake propellers on top?

It is a true auto gyro, I tried flying with out the rotors and it did not work. I also had one rotor lock up and cause a mean roll that ended this gyro's life.

was it a good move to make it out of 6mm depron or do you think i would be better off making it with the 3mm?

It flies great!! I wish I had some 3mm to try some 3mm rotors to compare them for you. As far as the air frame goes 3mm would only save a very few grams.
