http://vault.ncaa.com/ Keith Smart hit "The Shot" to secure Bob Knight's 3rd national championship at Indiana. The Hoosiers were also led by Steve Alford who nailed seven 3-pointers and Daryl Thomas who produced 20 points inside overcoming Syracuse's trio of Sherman Douglas, Rony Seikaly, and Derrick Coleman. This was the first year of the 3-pointer in the NCAA tournament.

  • What really sucks if we could have one this game if they stopped the clock when they were suppose to not 3 seconds later..

  • @hempside

You're right. Alford only hit 7 three-pointers that game. He really sucked. And Bob Knight convinced the Celtics' Red Auerbach to a draft a black parapalegic named Landon Turner. Knight is so racist.

  • Daryl Thomas is my basketball coach!!

  • bob knight racist ass gave all the credit to Steve alford who was so overrated.

  • Typical Bob Knight team. This assumes when Knight has a decent team he will form a national champion out of it.

  • this was the 1st year of the 3 point shot

  • Head Coach of an NBA Team. Not bad.

  • @sandeecha drafted 2nd round 41st by Golden State...waived by Golden State...claimed by the Spurs..then waived by the Spurs..al in tthe same year. Then he had a mini nevous breakdown!
