Mozart Turkish March - practice. I'm just learning this song and so far I'm more or less done with my right hand and I'm starting to learn the left one, and I'd greatly appreciate any pointers / comments anyone familiar with the piano might have. NOTE: I don't take any piano classes, so any piano/musical jargon I will not be able to understand, sorry in advance.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the input. Yes I'm aware of this, however I do this part with my left hand since it's much more comfortable for me to do so :) That's why it's not present here. But thanks again for pointing it out man!

  • You actually did a great job with just one hand! (twss lol). Looks like you have natural rhythm. When combining both hands at first, go very very very very slowly, once you can uppen then pace, go for it.

Thanks for the comment. This video is from around a week ago, I've learned the left hand and I'm starting to combine it with the right one. Going slowly, but going good :)

Any comments regarding the fingering, if you are familiar with the correct way for it?

  • I know fingering is a big part of piano but, I kinda neglect it, only because sometimes the fingering can be outrageous. What ever feels right for you, works lol.

Thanks a lot :) I've seen some "fingering" (I love that word btw, lol) videos on youtube and some of the things I see seem absolutely strange to me, complicating things much more than making them easier, at first glance at least. but what do I know :) we'll wait and see!

I learned this piece as well; when my teacher showed me the fingering, it made no sense to me at first and it was frustrating to "relearn" some parts, but believe me once you mastered the fingering the piece gets a lot easier to play.

  • you call this a lesson? haha you play wonderfall, but this is not a lesson.

  • Oh anything to help out :) I'm working on this song as of the moment too! I am now extremely tempted to try that part with my left hand!!! Haha :)

  • Robzor is true!
