Lee Roy Selmon Memorial

TAMPA, Fla. -- Family and friends remembered Lee Roy Selmon, former University of South Florida Athletic director and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Hall of Famer, at a memorial service on Friday, September 9, 2011. The champion defensive end and Tampa Bay icon was 56 when he died suddenly. In Selmon's honor, USF President Judy Genshaft announced that the USF Athletic facility will be renamed, the Lee Roy Selmon Athletic Center at the University of South Florida. In lieu of flowers, the Selmon family suggests donations be made to the Abe Brown Ministries and the University of South Florida Foundation Partnership for Athletics.
