There are a number of reasons why people make console applications.
1. Easier to code.
2. They are more efficient and use less resources (ram, processing power etc)
3. Console applications are quicker to use in some cases

When you try to run an application normally, it may not appear. This may be an indication that it is a console application.

To run a console application:

1. Start command prompt. (XP: Flag then R then type cmd. Vista: Flag then type cmd)
2. Navigate to the application's location using "cd"
3. Run the application by typing the application name
If you do not get the list of possible commands by running the program, run it again and add -h or -help

Once you have a list of possible commands, then you can use the program accordingly.

  • A password hash is an encrypted password that one could easily attain, but it is not the actual password. A hashed password could look like (this is an example) 585AJKLSHDFJH9809SAFK, but it would actually be something like GuitarsRCool.

  • whats a password hash?

  • Nice guide. Will probably help a lot of peeps.
