This '69 AMX was the 1969 Division V Champion in Super Stock (SS/D) drag racing. It was owned and sponsored by Peterson Motor Company in Kearney, Nebraska. This run took place at Kearney Raceway Park during Kearney's week-long cruise night event.

    Kearney, Nebraska. The car was based there and did really well in the late 60s/early 70s.

  • I talked to a guy the other day that said he unloaded that car off of the train when new in '69. He said it was the fastest car he ever unloaded, which says a lot considering he unloaded HEMI cars too. Wish it was still a 4spd though.

  • The thing is still pretty bad ass. It used to be in the shop of a fire sprinkler company I worked for a few years ago in Elkton, Md. The guy that owned the company loved the AMX. Apparently this car is worth some serious jing.
