i never heard anyone call the zip lock bags "zip top"

i picked it up from food network. b/c zip loc is a proprietary name tied to a specific brand zip top just refers to those type of bags in general. if you ever notice generic labeling of foods when u watch food network it is often b/c they change the labels in a process called "greeking" thereby placing more emphasis on the ingredient/product than any specific brand. thanks for commenting
