Lindsey Buckingham/The Kingston Trio ~ Greenback Dollar ~ Live 1981

This is a great, live Kingston Trio performance of the song ~ Greenback Dollar, which features John Stewart!! (He had the 1979 hit single ~ Gold, which Lindsey had produced.) This clip is from a 1982 Kingston Trio & Friends Reunion special. (This was taped in Valencia, CA in 1981.)

Lindsey Buckingham (my fave) is playing the BASS guitar (in the background, left) on this one, which is rare!! He played the bass on a couple of songs via this special and this was one of them. As you know, (besides lead vocals) Lindsey played the bass guitar (for about four years) via his very first band ~ Fritz, which he formed in high school back in 1967.

Lindsey and John remained friends for many years. In fact, Lindsey even performed a very moving song at his funeral two years ago.
