Bravo man , I love it I went to school with him in 6th,7th and 8th grade and never would have thought he would have been this awsome, he looked more like a doctor type in school kinda quiet
Good! I didn't know how all that come out, haha. I think Ben ought to be doing pretty good, I haven't been able to see him live yet, but I sure would like to!
Magical it is and like you say needs to be preserved, that's how talent lives on... I didn't think you were knocking my statements so don't worry...LOL...
Keep up the good work with your music..Keep music live!
I keep thinking of Ben and how he is doing - I really do hope he goes on to great things, such talent and he really does leave you with a great impression when you have seen him live.
I see what you're saying now that you have elaborated. I feel that the sound of the elders is always a magical thing to hear, so it's always natural to kind of incorporate their sound into yours. Then again, yes, you are right that everything needs to be your own style. If it sounded like I was knocking your statements, I apologize, that wasn't my intention. To each his own, and your opinion is a very good one! I greatly appreciate your compliment on my material too!
I agree he is doing a damn good job...But when I saw him play live last year I couldn't help feel if he just snipped some of that beard off and used the more natural tones of his voice, he could be EVEN better. Sometimes you can listen and play too much to your elders and begin to sound like them rather than moving onwards and finding your our own natural style.... He is already preserving his heritage by playing the music he is playing in the great way he does.
...the man is a blues and old-time player/singer. He is doing very good and would like to preserve his heritage. Just like all the rest of us who play this type of music want to do. And he is doing a damn good job of it.
