@funkypope the most skilled acting tommy does in the film isn't actually acting it was a real reaction. Mark says, "wake up man, what planet are you on?" that sudden change in attitude from tommy is because Mark was improvising and was actually just trying to figure out where the fuck he comes from. beautiful scene. but yeah, tommy is not from this planet.
