On October 1, 2009, Staff Sergeant Cory Remsburg (a US Army Ranger) and 7 fellow soldiers were wounded in Afghanistan by an improvised explosive device (IED). He has been recovering from a traumatic brain injury at James Haley Veteran's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Cory was granted leave to visit his home in Princeton, North Carolina. The Patriot Guard Riders escorted Cory from Tampa, Florida to his home. This photo montage documents the escort from South Carolina to Cory's home on July 30, 2010. Chewy (Biker Dog) was a member of the escort team in North Carolina. A news video providing more information about Cory can be found at http://www.wral.com/news/local/video/8064623/
