I'm not Mormon but I live in Utah and have lads of friends who are Mormon and they are great people with very high standard. I think people need to grow up and stop all the hating. At the end of the day, the LDS people do not care what all the idiots on YouTube say about them....They are happy. I have never found them pushy or anything other that darn great.

well God sent Jesus to the descendents of these people (who had probably mixed with the people already there. And like you said the Israelites turned from God -well thats exactly what eventually happened with these people. The people who lived at the time of his visit accepted him. it was later generations who turned. He didnt fail. If this is a failure, his visit to the Jews was a failure, because the Jews rejected him too. He always extends a chance.its up to the people to choose to accept him

ok.. maybe a small family helped by god could have happened.. unlikely but still.. Why would God need these people if he sent Jesus there? The normal isrealites didnt even believe in Jesus when he came!

Also if Jesus did come to the americas he clearly didnt do a good job, didnt those indians skin peoples scalps After they had killed them? Why would Jesus have come to the americas if he would have failed to teach them?

Why isnt it possible that they are part semitic? Really they look more like semitic arabs than Asians. Although i will say they may be mostly mongoloid. Yes 600, right before the Babylonian invasion. A small family sneaking out of Israel would not be recorded, except in their own records, thus the BOM. Its not like they made a big show when they left. And we have no writing from the people already living in the Americas. And if an omnipotent god wanted them to cross the sea theyd make it.

How can you possibly believe that the native americans are from isreal? A journey like that would have definatly been recorded somewhere in history. Since they were under the control of the chaldean empire, if that is the right time in history.. around 600bc was it? My point is a migration like this surely would have been recorded? unless the people were to have just teleported.. which of course is just ridiculous. Either way its unlikely they would have even survived the long journey.

Tithing is a donation used to finance bills, construction etc. Its a voluntary donation. without it, we couldnt finance the church. Tithing was practiced in the Bible. see Lev. 27:30, Mal 3:8. People were expected to donate then too and they didnt always know how it was being spent. Most dont feel the need to know how many lightbulbs our money buys. its a donation we let the church use as needed. Besides, you can choose to donate to specific causes like missionary fund, printing Bibles/BOMs, etc

I know where my tithing is being spent. its a donation i give that finaces publications, bills for the church, etc. i have no problem with that. its a donation. tithing is also featured in the Bible. See Lev 27:30, Mal. 3:8 Without it, it would be difficult for us to finance our church. it was the same way in the Bible. the people didnt always know exactly how their tithing was spent... Besides you can choose to donate to specific causes like the missionary fund, printing Bibles/BOMs, etc.
