Story and song from the great Dana Lyons, who was my guest for a show in May 2003, on Flirt FM 101.3, in NUI, Galway, Ireland.

This was the first of four songs he performed for us that day, and as he was playing this, a crowd spontaneously appeared in the second studio as all the other staff and presenters in the building crowded in to watch through the glass!

@TheHannahBurger Fair point. I've been meaning to split the interview and song, but haven't gotten around to that yet. I will, though. I've got another few songs he did with me that day - some really nice versions too - Drop of Water, in particular.

Thank you for the post. It's been said protest songs aren't written anymore. Not true. It's just that they're censored by today's corporate media.
