Established in 1880 the Guy Distillery started Making Absinthe in 1880. In 1915 Absinthe production was banned in France and the Maison Guy repurposed their stills for production of brandy and Anise based spirits. When the ban was lifted ten years ago they started producing absinthe again using the same stills from the late 1800s.

Paul takes us on a tour of the distillery where you can see these 100 year old stills in producing Francious Guy Absinthe - the most award winning Absinthe on the market today.

  • distillery Guy sure does make wonderul Absinthe....

  • Oh, lord, look at those beautiful stills...I want one.

  • Why filter? The herbs can't follow the vapor to the condenser.

It would extract more flavor/oils as well.

  • So they actually distill the whole soup of wormwood, hyssop, anise & star anise, fennel seed, lemon balm aka melissa etc. Without filtering it first?

  • Great Video......
