Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil - Skylark (Cover)

Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil (I never know where exactly to put the capital letters) is one of my favorite films, based on one of my favorite books, set in one of my favorite American cities. It's a very long, but very well-done film, and the book is fantastic. I've had a long-standing fascination with Savannah ever since I first visited it more than ten years ago - it's gorgeous and historical and intriguing as hell.

Since part of my webcomic is set in Savannah, I've been doing an awful lot of research on it and am planning on taking another trip there this summer....so I rewatched this movie and wanted to try singing the gorgeous acapella cover of Johnny Mercer's 'Skylark' they use in the beginning. This version was originally sung by k.d. Lang, who I am definitely not, but I tried to sound similar! (I do love me some jazz :) )

If that was you, there's much more you can be doing in the way of lighting up lives with song. You have a wonderful voice, and it fooled me. I really thought I was listening to Lang.

I just don't understand why you don't have the soundtrack from the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" version. She sang it superbly! What a voice!! While the a capella snippet is a reminder, it falls short of the movie-credited original by her.

I tried my best to imitate! Her voice is awfully incredible.
