The eggs are made of premium lime stock that go through a long process of dehumidification that takes up to 4-5 years in order allow the colours to permanently set on the wood. After the initial preparations of the egg are complete, our artists begin the painstakingly hard (as often the eyesight is affected due to miniature painting techniques involved) and long process of designing patterns and layout and painting the reproductions using oil colours - a process that takes up to one and a half years to complete, utilising the very same oil painting techniques firstly introduced by Leonardo Da Vinci.
All the represented eggs are protected by up to 20 individual layers of lacquer to preserve its remarkable quality and lustre and prevent oil colours from any contact with the air, preserving the original colours from fading, and are sold with a lifetime guarantee*.
