In the cramped city,home is far away
Children that laugh onry in front of the TV
Fearing old age
Threatened by loneliness,we avert our eyes from the future
Surrendering to the dance beat in the sea of Vari-Lite
With what to support us
With what to be proud of
Can we keep on running?
You just believe in money
From the ashes of ruins,we ascended strong and high
Our hearts still crushed from the defeat in 1945
Now a long way from the ashes we ascended from in 1945
