@swimmerinstinct huh.. believe Nicholson played it both .. He gave away money on the streets while having ballons filled with a poisonous gas.. Then Killed his right hand man Bob cause he was mad Batman "STOLE HIS BALLONS!"....

Jack nicholson played the classic joker- authentic to the cartoon and comics, full of laughter and trickery. Ledger played the cold blooded psychopath that the joker is underneath the smile, and he brought it out very well.

the old joker is a reflection from the diiferent taste on bad guys, when that was filmed it was insane, but now people wont realy insane bad guys and the new joker is reflection of it

the first joker seems much more a fucking scary ass clown than TBK joker,the TBK joker just seems to be much more menacing and psychopathic

The biggest difference is that the Jack Nicholson Joker was very seductive.

I tend to think all interpitations of the Joker have their own points for and against. What Nicholson was doing was the Joker of the 90's. He was comedic and homicial. What Ledger was doing was the character stripped bare to his core, the way he was when he first appeared before the Joker venom, before the joy buzzer before the gimmicks. I like them both. :)

@familyguybrian30 Dude, no =/ you really cant compare the two. Like you said, two very different jokers. Aside from which, Heath Ledger IS the joker now. Mr Heath there is psycho. not a comedic killer. therefore he is not known for his laugh.

They both did a terrific job. Jack brought the deadly to the funny unlike the jokers before him and Heath brought the psycho. I'm proud of both of them. UNFORGETTABLE!!
