@MrRenoog from talking to people in different football forums, it seems to me Laudrup is underrated outside Spain and Denmark, i heard many football fans rate players like Larsson, Solskjær, Hagi, Figo, just to name a few players people have rated higher, i mean they are all great player, IMO Laudrup should be higher rated than all those.

What a wonderful player. When I watch these videos I wonder why people don't mention him in the same breath as the likes of Cruijff, Maradona and co?

@gnawershreth I would'nt say that considering the danish national team in the 80's.... semi-final in the euro of 84' i think and quite a show-off at the WC in 86'... not too bad if you ask me...

That's a very good point. Laudrup did fine in the national team, but playing for Denmark (Compared to Holland, Brazil, France etc) makes it a hell of a lot harder for one player to really show his skills.

There's no doubt players like Maradona, Cruyff, Zidane, Romario, Rivaldo etc. were awesome players in their own right, but their national team mates were way better than Laudrup's were and that does make a huge difference. ;)

from a Liverpool fan, he is easily one of the best players ive ever seen. back in the day there were rumours of him coming to Liverpool. ive always wondered if he had left Juve when Rushie arrived, and joined Kenny's team of Barnes, Beardsley, etc. how heavenly our football would have been.

I'm brazilian and a big fan of Romario. But, pardon me, Shorty, if I had played with Laudrup, I'd have scored zillions of goals too.

@MrRenoog That is because he did not have great success in the national team. The world cup are the best plateau to show your skill. Cruyff played an amazing world cup '74 and made it to the finals, Maradona played a fantastic world cup '86 and scored the goal of the century.
