Cardio Walk in Court Hey Park 1

Court Hey Park is situated in Roby, on the border between Liverpool and Knowsley. The Cardiac Rehab Walking club was established in September 2005. The walk was set up by Broad Green Hospital, Liverpool Walking for Health and Knowsley Council. All three agencies are still involved with the walk; Broad Green Hospital still sends any Cardiac Rehab patients onto the walk.

Liverpool Walking for Health supports the walk and Knowsley Council has its Huyton Ranger, Karen Brady Leading the Walk with Liverpool Walking for Health Walk Volunteer Leader, Ronnie Kermode assisting Karen. The event has an average of 20-30 walkers each week, today was actually 36 walkers. All of these walkers seem to get not just the health benefit from walking but also enjoy the social side which keeps them coming back every week in all weather conditions.
