@MrCraazed Overeem is one of the best strikers in MMA and Reem has a very good ground game. Brock needed the fight to go to the ground and even if it did, Brock might still lose.
Brock is still Brock, he's a tough guy. I am a fan of both fighters, but I think Reem will the Jon Jones of the heavyweight division. Only time will tell.

Lesnar had the perfect background for MMA, and that was wrestling.
Not only did he have the perfect background, he was really fuckin' good at it.
It also helped that he was walking around at 280 lbs during fight night, making all of his opponents look puny.
But that can only get you so far, and while Lesnar was a good HW, it sickens me when so many people fell for the UFC hype train and compared him with Fedor.
Heck, I always said SF had a better HW division, now it's proven.

@T1memaster No, its not a joke. He had no ground game. Lying on top of someone is not a ground game. This is exactly why he is overrated. There have been fighters with less training time, 5 years is pretty good time to learn some technique.
He actually had little no to fight skills other than his wrestling ability, and wasn't even that good at take downs. Dude had no fight skill, just relied on his physical size, as soon as people saw his technique they figured out how to beat him.
-
No ground game, is that a joke? He has lunchbox sized hands and usually if he gets on top of you, you arent getting back up. He did pretty good considering the limited time he had to train.

@aattitude Well thats where we disagree. The dude isn't even a top 10 heavyweight, he honestly should never have gotten to even fight on TV. He had no standup game, he had no ground game other than his ability to mount. He didn't have punching power (never could knock anyone out), but he had mass and speed. The fact that he was in the WWE was the ONLY reason he made it to a fight on TV and that is why he is overrated.
To the casual MMA fan he looked good, but he wasn't = why he's overrated

@allstarpcg It shows how good he was. It also depends what you consider as overrated. Did people think he was the best heavyweight ever? Even best heavyweight in the world? That would be overrated.
But was he a legit heavyweight that could win and defend the hw title for a while? Yes, he was... pre disease & pre surgery. He showed he had it in him to be those things.
-
@aattitude Back to my point... he is overrated. The fact that he got a title shot after 4 fights was just plain ridiculous and proves how overrated he is. Props for his athletic abilities but he was overrated.
-
@allstarpcg He went in with very little mma experience and did great with top fighters like Frank Mir. He basically carried over his amateur wrestling experience and did as much as he could with it to win. Just think how much he could've done if he did mma instead of pro wrestling in his 20's.
Against overeem, he got hit with solid shots, shots that would take out many other fighters. However I think he was shot mentally and physically by then. He had a fucked disease, this is not to be ignored.
-
@aattitude Doesn't make him any less overrated. And he shouldn't have talked so much shit and maybe he woulda been respected. Dudes a cocky son of a bitch who got hit by overeem and immediately retired. You can't talk that much shit and fail so hard.

@allstarpcg Brock did great in mma, esp considering his disease + surgery + limited mma experience.
