Jimmy Webb's magnificent opus, recorded from the LP, "101 Strings Play Music Composed by Jim Webb and Burt Bacharach." Issued under the Alshire label, serial number S-5162.

Interviewed in 2007 by the The Los Angeles Times, Webb specifically identified the park in the song as the MacArthur Park in Los Angeles -- a place where he and his girlfriend frequently met.

Hi Living Piano, It really isn't strange to me! I kinda like the fact that these great albums are passed up by so many who don't know better whenever they are offered, that just leaves more for me!

@markie909 Totally agree, y strange to anyone?? They were a fine orch, even mantovani, paul mauriat..etc were very innovative in arrangement. Only one needs a heart to enjoy this music.
