Play it in reverse for the song "Zelda's Lullaby" (Easter egg via GoNintendo).

Official trailer shown during Satoru Iwata's keynote speech at GDC 2011 in March. This video was never officially released outside of the video stream, so you won't find direct feed quality unfortunately. Nonetheless, the trailer features new monsters, areas, and shows off the Wii MotionPlus gameplay.

  • I have been a Zelda fan ever since Ocarina of time, and have played all of them and finished them up until this new one which is yet to be released...and I'm not impressed. Windwaker was great as it still had a dark concept to the game, and I enjoyed it thoroughly, however 'Skyward Sword' I will not be paying $120 for....simply because it is too bright and happy looking, much like Donkey Kong Returns (okay game) but I missed the DKC2 style of the haunted forests etc.

    - My input.

  • @LightRevealsDark Good for you. Us Zelda fans will be enjoying it.

  • yeah but you can't really call this music now can you?

it would have been the worst zelda music ever

  • @Dargakis ...? Yes, you can call this music because that's exactly what it is. It's not bad at all.

  • Anyone also notice that the people raging hard against Skyward Sword's graphics also appear to be people whose typing skills are on par with that of a third grader?

Really, if you're arguing about graphics in a Zelda game when they've maintained the same bright colors for most of the games across its 25+ year history, you might as well just blow it out your ass. Nintendo really doesn't give two flips what you think at this point.

  • Bravo Nintendo

  • When this trailer music is played backwards you get the zelda lullabye

  • @LightRevealsDark The trailer goes for a minute. Why don't you wait until the game launches until you assume it will be 'all bright and happy'

  • @LightRevealsDark Honestly, if you had said that you hated Wind Waker, at least you would be consistent in your reasons for not wanting to play this. What I mean is; I'm not going to be surprised Skyward Sword partway through the story takes at least a slight turn for the dark. Really, instead of writing it off right away, you should probably wait until it comes out and people give their impressions/post spoiler-filled videos of it before deciding whether to eventually buy it or not.

I was being facetious with the price by the way. And why the correction? Willpwn4cash clearly made this statement: "a game doesn't have to be dark to be good" - I replied with " You're right, a game with color can be decent". So I think I mean what I posted earlier. Also, it is 'rare' to see uploaders being so quick to comment, particularly with trailers; are you affiliated with the production of this game by any chance? Or merely acting as a third party to advertise?

  • @LightRevealsDark Every Wii game is $50 from the start, and no first-party games ever drop in price for at least 2-3 years.

And I think you mean "a game with no color can be decent sometimes, but rarely."

  • @willpwn4cash

The main thing that bugs me is the model and design of link. You're right, a game with color can be decent - but I don't like those baggy cargo pants that are big enough for him to shit in. They should of kept the fundamentals of Link in Twilight Princess, and perhaps just tweaked with the detail and added more color to that model. TP was the best version of Link in my opinion.

Maybe when it drops down to $50 I will buy this game.

  • @LightRevealsDark A game doesn't have to be dark to be good. All grey and no color is shit design.
