perhaps it could have been remade with Madhuri and SRK in the lovers roles...but the time for that has long passed...and even with all my undying admiration for Madhuri, there is something in Madhubala's performance that can't be recaptured or improved upon...like the power and beauty in the way she conveys her sadness. So, I guess I do agree with you, lol.
