The Museum of Power is a unique and fascinating experience & is located at Langford, near Maldon, Essex.
Set in seven acres of grounds with the River Blackwater running through, exhibits are housed in the 1920s Steam Pumping Station, the former generator hall and boiler house which was originally designed to provide a daily supply of seven million gallons of drinking water which together with the existing wells, met anticipated demand until the 1960's.
The video features events on the 26th June 2011, with the East Essex Heavy Horse show in attendance & the Classic cars from the TR Drivers Club.
The 7 ¼" Gauge Miniature Railway main line has a journey of over ¼ of a mile through the seven acres of mature woods and meadows that make up the museum grounds. A small halt, RIVERSIDE, is situated beside the footpath from the visitors car park to the Museum but the main station, LANGFORD, is on the east side of the railway not many yards from the original Langford Station on the Maldon Witham Branch (axed in the 60s).
