a quick video showcasing a rare Tanjor aerodynamic kids' trailer. Hand made in the USA in very small quantities and for just a few years, this is reported to be a very early model, possibly the 5th made. It seats two kids in an inline arrangement, has a clear plastic nosecone, and a removable cockpit cover.
Since posting this video, I have upgraded the mounting system to a Burley forged axle mount and flexible tongue. the round tongue was a perfect fit and included a much easier to manipulate link pin. A great, inexpensive (approx. $25) upgrade!
this is the best youtube subtitles ever

Looks like tons of space for camping gear :) Where can purchase one of these trailers?

@josephdupont I have often thought about such a trailer for camping, and rather than having a fixed sleeping length, my ideas revolve around a fold-out or slide out extension, so that it's compact when being pulled, and lengthy when parked for sleeping. Anyway, ideas are plentiful; financing and commitment are the bugaboos!

how about making it long enough to sleep in..

Agreed @kermitjohnson: These could be replicated on a small scale. I own one of the Tanjor Triples. Not using it at the moment, as my kids are quite grown over the weight limit. But I'm keeping it, as it is such a unique item. The wife and I harbor dreams of moving to a place like Mackinac Island someday, where such a trailer would be wonderful.
I guess getting ahold of one would be the first step in making another one, to get patterns for everything.
Stan Voas is on Facebook.

That is really cool. Have you had any problems with rocks etc hitting the plexiglass dome?

@kermitjohnson : just thought to Google the guy's name, and found a YouTube vid of a guy who works at New Flyer bus manufacturing in MN! Bet he's the one you're looking for! Contact him and let us know!

@kermitjohnson : The Tanjor was created by Stan Voas, and built by Voas Manufacturing Services. A quick Google came up with: 1514 5th Ave N, Sauk Rapids , MN 56379, ph. 320-203-0211, but I think I tried calling awhile back without luck. It wouldn't be cheap, I don't think, but vacuum forming some polycarbonate shouldn't be too difficult for any plastics outfit to do for you to spec. Good luck!

Does anyone know the guy who created the Tanjor? I have one, but I need a new plexiglas bubble.
