  • Looks great! I made my first sichuan style hot pot last night and have a few questions!! Is using a packet mix less tasty? (I used garlic, Sichuan chili, crushed chili, Chinese wine, Sichuan bean & chili paste, etc, etc, etc.) and had with marinated pork, homemade dumplings and chili/capsicum/fennel skewers). Also! Your dipping sauce looks amazing!!!!' You can invite me around any time! :D All the best.

  • @Cataclysm31 Thank you for your comment! It sounds like you made a soup base from scratch. If you are making just the spicy soup base then using a packet mix is fine. Have you tried tofu in hotpot?
