I made this to see what my motor was doing. I can't tell if my motor mount is broken. I get a lot of vibrations when I idle at a light. Especially if the a/c is on. On this 2004 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4L I believe the front mount is computer controlled. SO there may be something wrong with the vacuum lines or whatever it is. What do you guys think? Comment please. Thanks!

  • was it a bich to replace cuz i just found out mine are broken

  • I have not done anything to it. I asked a mechanic and he tells me its normal but I know something is wrong because I feel a strong vibration when the car is at idle

  • @Shadow04HA well depending on how many miles are on the car it could be that the engine is just wearing out. my dad has a 2000 Mercedes E320 and it vibrates excessively at idle, you can fix it but you have to rebuild the engine (basically replace the most important parts in the engine ie. valves, pistons, camshafts, valve lifters, and bearings) but thats costly and normally unnecessary, unless it gets to the point where it starts to vibrate things loose then ask you mechanic

  • VTEC,just kicked in yo!

  • @Shadow04HA There is a TSB on this, not sure if you got this fixed yet, but my 2004 EXL just started doing it. I found the TSB -- SEARCH FOR 03-04 l4 engine vibration in gear 04-024.pdf Did you change the mount yourself or what? I found it online for half what my dealer here wants. ($70 vs $147 honda OEM part)

  • @srcs10 the turboed make more horsepower then the motor does..turboes are for pussies..FYI I just got the motor in the rear in is next..motor to motor I would waste u..also my s10 is a tube chassis so it's about 1000 pounds not just from the frame though fuck even with ur turbos I could beat u .also super chargers are better

  • @shupster369 ok well my rsx is at 640hp with efr bw twinscroll turbo. i cant even use vtec anymore with my setup. so u would just be starting when im done.

  • @srcs10 dude I have a 500 horsepower Chevy 350 going into my Sonoma ..by the time the vtec lee ages the start line my Sonoma would have already finished

  • @shupster369 ur gay, i bet that vtec motor would destroy u

  • check the mounts ! wouldnt hurt but if u feel vibrations then yes ur mount s need inspection! the mounts that go out real quick are the ones at the way bottom by the fender !

  • both top and bottom motor mounts are broken bro....try changing the top one, it usually looks like a dogbone.

  • @chucknorris22222 but it does it all the time when shifting from first to second it does a hard shift it seems that the engine keeps spinning while its shifting from first to second then from second to third it does it less and from third to fourth you cant feel it that much
