Think about what your saying.... rich people buy nice things, yes. Of course. But they BUY them. Someone had to mine the gold. Someone had to mine the gems. A skilled craftsman had to cut the gems. Anouther one had to assemble the entire package. A man with a truck had to bring it from the point of production to the point of sale and some sales person had to sell it. It's redistribution of wealth and it WORKS.

Fact:The poor have been getting richer all over the world because of capitalism.

An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. The class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism."

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided that since they could not make an A, they studied less. The second Test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for anyone else. All failed to their great surprise and the professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail because the harder people try to succeed the greater their reward but when a government takes all the reward away; no one will try or succeed.

Americans are the MOST GENEROUS people in the world. The state does not have to FORCE generosity (socialism!)

And, ironically, Obama does not think the U.S. is a Christian nation anymore.

Are you jealous of rich people? Do you think some people do not deserve to be rich?

Do you believe EVERYONE should be equally POOR?

Do you believe EVERYONE should be equally WEALTHY?

Should someone who schooled them-self to become a doctor make the same money per hour as a store clerk?

Two words: charities and churches.

Government involvement is one reason healthcare is so expensive in the first place. The answer is not more govt involvement. Nevermind that the Constitution never granted the govt the power to manage healthcare. Furthermore, no one has a right to any service for free. Services cost, and healthcare's no exception. And you know what else? Maybe everyone wouldn't be so broke if we weren't having 30/40% of our salaries stolen by the IRS.

Also, why is there so much hate against socialism, its caring for everybody as a whole, capitalism is kind of like taking as much as you can and hording it. Some rich people do work for the money they earned, but most of them have had the opportunity to do so. A man who works 16 hours a day and makes $160 can make less than a rich guy who works 2 hours a day makes 10,000 a day, does this seem fair?

There's hate against socialism because it's a nice word for state-sponsored theivery. Socialism is about taking from those who have more in order to hand it out to those who have less. You don't see a problem with that?

How is it fair to take money from a guy/gal who busted his nut in school and worked real hard/smart all their lives to make a lot of money?

Where is the incentive to work hard if you are just going to take it away to give to less fortunate (lazy, ignorant people who decided not to work hard because the government will take care of them)?

I find rich people are usually very generous when their money is not threatened by taxes, inflation, etc...

Why so much hate for socialism? Because every time it's tried it fails.

When you remove the incentive to strive the entire economy collapses.

Yes, when that rich man works for 2 hours and earns 10 grand is is fair. His 2 hours is WORTH MORE then the guy making $10 per hour. Paying people what they are worth is the essence of fairness.

Do you really think that guy flipping burgers and your doctor provide the same value to society?
