  • After we did the N & S Kinsman and meet you, islandside, we have done Cannon. Oufff!! That trail is steep, to go up and down to go back down to Lafayette Place.

  • I remember going up over Cannon on the Kinsman Ridge trail from the Tram parking lot and it was really steep there, then we went down the "High Cannon" trail to Lafayette place. I have heard about the ups and downs on the "cannon balls" behind cannon, although I have yet to do that section of trail.

  • Nice, I climbed Kinsman a few months ago. Looks like you took the same trail I did. You have trouble finding the Mt Kinsman Trail from the Road? The path was grown in and no signs labeled it when I went. I didnt have time to do South Kinsman without coming down at dark, but I did do Bald peak.

  • Found the trail head OK after reading enough other folks trip reports on VFTT. I skipped Bald Knob, but looking at your video, I can see it has a great view. Not sure when I will be back to see that one though. I took in South Kinsman, but made it back to my car jut before dark!

  • Are you a member from Views from the top? Is it cold up in the mountains? I havent been able to go hiking for a while. You lucked out just before dark. Mabey Ill do south Kinsman in the winter and tryout my snowshoes.

  • I learn a lot from the VFTT forum - but I mostly just read and not post too much yet as I am still new there.
