Las Vegas....errr is that where other famous sightings have been recorded!

The evidence seems to point to the lanterns, but it all raises really interesting debate. Perhaps the UFO's are in response to our earthly activity?.

View 22:30 GMT 29/06/08 Moving SE, from Bedroom Window across The Harrow Way/M3towards Southlea. Elevation 30 Degrees from horizon. Distance Approx 3 miles. Moving from Alton Direction towards Odiham. Visible for 30 minutes. At one point around 11 lights visible at once. Prevailing wind is SW.If you watch a Moonrise, they moved in the opposite direction but on a similar track."C" lanterns normally only last approx 12 mins,so I understand. Please can we see some pics etc from the wedding do?

slimeddie ad others, soz about stealing your story. I'll share all your observations, comments, wedding party celebrations etc. With the local rags and radio stations, all of whom find this an interesting diversion to all the horrific stories currently in press.

BBC Berks did an interview with me at 17:24 today, with Kestrel FM following straight after.

It's very difficult to film these kinds of lights at night. I was always sceptical of the poor quality videos of sightings, but last night there were similar lights over our town, witnessed by a number of people, and I tried to film them but just came up with the usually unconvincingly blurry result.

Probably because their blinkered, practically religious view of UFOs was threatened by my comment. It doesn't alter the fact that the video is useless as it could easily be faked.

If this lot were to ever show me something genuinely unexplainable I might take some interest!

a mate of mine saw something like this around new years and she said they couldnt be chinese lanterns because of how quickly they were moving

On monday the 5th my sister pointed something very strange out.  It was a Bright orange glow about 250 - 400ft high come over our house. It was orange with a red ring round it. It then moved slowly then went faster & faster & faster then was gone. It wasnt a plane because it was silent. It was weird

Hii i was walking home from the pub last saturday and i videoed the exact same thing the same day the followiny year. WTF this is FUCKED UP! the government should get involved even AREA 51!!! LOL up load it soon 2009 not 2008 follwed year still sighting weird!!!!

I live in nearby Andover and in April '07,I happened to catch an incredible display by these lights that lasted a good half an hour or so. Maybe Salisbury Plain direction? The colour, the way they move and fade in and out and hold patterns is damn strange. I have no idea what they were but doing a search that April turned nothing up on the internet and now there's hundreds of reports of these lights. A recent phenomena, but it's good to know you guys are seeing them in Basingstoke too.

None of you have been to thailand... There you can buy large paper lamps with a candle in them, as the hot air warms up the paper lamp lifts off... hay presto there your aliens...oh and they go out... candle burns its self out......

I saw something like this in Chadeston Derby the night Galaxy quest was on the TV, then a helicopter appeared... that night Derby City centre was covered in fog? This was before the other sightings appeared in the sun...

we saw them at 00:20 New Years Day after watching the fireworks on BBC we stood outside house in Kempshott for ciggie and saw four, They were low down, the first two came into sight seperately then disappeared in same spot and then the other 2 appeared within seconds of the first two and came closer then disappeared in exactly the same spot, we found it quite an amazing event and if it was UFO's then what a sight to witness as we were celebrating 2009 and before you ask NO we were not drunk.

me and 10 other people have just seen 4 of these @ 11am new years eve over R.A.F Basingstoke, still baffled to what the hell they are now but being completely open minded nothings impoosible, were moving in all sorts of funny directions very fast too and pulsating....
