  • Clean pants are under your seat.

  • actually during the flare maneuver the rpm's tend to increase because the blades angle of attack increases (the governor will keep them always at the same value though), that's why the pitch angle is reduced (collective down) to prevent the helicopter to baloon up in the air.

  • actually i think they are (blades) slowing down. the more pitch needed to keep aircraft in air is added quickly and takes more power resulting in less rotor rpm.. but when he levels off they spool back up because the engine(s) spools back up.

  • Pretty cool to see how loading up the disk in the quick-stop flare puts energy into the disk and momentarily increases rotor rpm.

  • Captain Bob wouldnt happen to be Bob Brett would it?

  • lol no just one. haha. well it might be the same one- i dont live there anymore but its the calstar 222 and theres one bo105 with Reach. ive seen the ec135 though.

  • They have 222's up there?I just moved back down here to the San Diego area and we alse have 2 222's and one EC135.

  • i used to see that one- used to land at memorial all the time - now its usually just reach and the 222.
