GADGET ET LES GADGETINIS: The Illustrated French End Credits

Did you know that the French outro to "Gadget & the Gadgetinis" features a little story told through beautiful sketches? I found out a little while ago and I have no idea why other countries (to my knowledge) never got to see this expressive artwork. Interestingly enough, these sketches tell a complete story about Penny going to visit Brain, who's now retired and seldom seen in the Gadgetinis series. I love the warm reunion between Penny and Brain in the end... the characters feel far more true to themselves than in the actual episode where Brain appeared, "No Brainer". Watching these lovingly rendered drawings, I almost get the feeling that the Gadgetinis creators are saying to us: "Don't worry... even though we don't see Brain all the time in this new show, he's still around, and he and Penny are still close."

By the way, the much-better-than-the-American theme song you hear over these sketches was composed by Noam Kaniel and David Vadant as a direct adaptation of Shuki Levy and Haim Saban's original "Inspector Gadget" theme! Of course this theme was never used in the English version either. Just another touch that makes the intro and end credits for "Gadgetinis" far better in France. ;)
