Jared Flood demonstrates his alternative left-leaning decrease that lays flat. It is featured in his Turn a Square Hat, available at knittingdailytv.com. The yarn used in the hat is Valley Yarns Northampton and Noro Kureyon available at yarn.com
I love Jared Flood & his work but am really disappointed in Knitting Daily's editorial work on this spot. The SSK technique Jared demonstrates here (w/2nd stitch slipped purlwise) was not created by him. At the very least its heritage can be traced back through Elizabeth Zimmerman (who video demonstrated it on the Knitting Glossary), who attributes creation of the technique to Dee Barrington & recommends it as preferable to Barbara Walker's SSK (sl 2nd knitwise) for the same reasons given here.
Pour le SSK, aller direct à 4:03... Sinon c'est beaucoup de pub et auto promo (pub quoi!)!
For SSK method, go straight to 4:03
