I have Ocd, and am currently taking medications for it. I think someone wanted to know what treatment options existed to improve the quality of life for someone who has ocd. My best adivce would be finding the right medications, counselling, if needed, and coming to terms with it in a way that you know that it is a mental illnes, nothing more, and that with sheer determination you can live a sucessful lifestyle.
A long time ago I had a mild case of it, but as I matured I beat it rather easily by reaiizing that a world where meaningless rituals had value was a world that would insult its creator by seeing him as a kind of jerk. Once I grasped that concept - poof - it was gone forever.
I've been taking sertraline for OCD for the past 12 years. It helps, but its no cure.

@alexalex3131 That's a rather odd point of view, but it worked for you then why not? xD

Then maybe you didn't have OCD at all?
We all do weird things sometimes.

Yeah, OCD is pretty common. A lot of people have it, or at least a minor case, but it goes undiagnosed.
It's almost like having superstitions, except it gets in the way of daily life. There's treatment for it but I forgot what they are.
