Nice. I did something similar last year to even out my sloped garden. I raised one end nearly 2 ft. and the sides up some too using stones from the area. A lot of work but it looks awesome and no more run off.

This years challenge is keeping the cats out, they've been digging up my spinach seedlings and chewing on them. Any idea's how to keep cats out short of buying more fence?

great vids i had a major prob with my garden when we moved here as it was an old barn which had caved in and a lot of large trees where here as well so we removed as many as myself and 13yrs son could and are using the rocks to make walls and bounderies to raise the beds the hardest part is finding the soil, as it is very exspensive in france we are also fortunate enough to be surrounded by hazel nut trees so i am using the branches for fences if anyone wants to know how e-mail me

You know with as much wind as u seem to be getting there so often have u thought about using wind power for your electricity? Some places even get to sell their excess electricity back to the electric company. It's a thought anyway. Not sure how much it would cost putting it in,tho.

Grow sweetgrass for them Hierochlöe odorata is the Latin name..many different kinds are called sweetgrass but Hierochlöe odorata is what you want to grow. It also has many uses and is very easy to grow.
