I think I've figured out how to start the plot line. I just need to get this stupid clock to work. I actually really thought my idea of 'Gabriel Knight' (the angel and the sword) was pretty clever. I suppose not clever enough though, back to the drawing board.

  • I found out you can get a lot more important information from dialogue if you ask the same things multiple times. If you leave them and then ask again it starts from the beginning, so that doesn't mean they have nothing else to say.

I don't consider that a spoiler, just a hint considering the gameplay because that's one of the reasons you are stuck.

Also it is important to look at things and inspect them instead of clicking madly at your surroundings hoping to collect items. Take your time ; )

  • cool thanks for the tip. Usually in my videos I like to fly through and go as fast as I can and when I get stuck (which I always do) I go back and take my time looking over all the details I can.

  • Use the brick on the clock? lol, it feels like that's how I'd think. That's what I hate about these adventure games. How they force us to adapt to these illogical methods. I'd rather ask someone about the clock here than actually try to figure it out. And that priest shirt you grabbed, it lacked a collar which I noticed immediatly. It's those puzzels that shouldn't be puzzles and is only there to fuck with people that doesn't pay attention or don't know those things.

  • Ah, I should have checked this video before commenting on your last one. Sorry about that.

This is definitely one of the hardest puzzles in the game. You need to consider what symbol is significant to Gabriel's family and what number is significant to his family.

Hint: Part of the clue is in the painting. You may also want to look around at the books in the bookstore a bit.

By the way, if I'm giving too many hints, please let me know. Don't want to spoil things for you. :)
