In the skies above the isle
Aces In Exile prepare!

From near and far they arrived join the force
Ready to serve the Allied command
Sent in the training, though they already earned their wings
They were ready to fly they were fit for the fight
Once in the air the battle began
They had proven their worth now they fight for revenge

Fighter pilots in exile fly for foreign land
Let the story be heard tell of 303
Fighter pilots of Poland in the battle of Britain
Guarding the skies of the isle

Even at night shadows cover the ground
Fighting goes on from dusk till dawn
We fall on the Reich with the claws of the eagle!
They were Ready to fight, they were ready to die
Up in the air, the battle goes on
They had proven their worth now they have their revenge

Fighter pilots in exile fly for foreign land
Tell the story again to the 310
Men of Czechoslovakia in the battle of Britain
Guarding the skies of the isle

Over the battlefield brave man long way from home
You are the chosen ones sent to the sky to die
Over the battlefield brave man long way from home
You are the chosen ones sent to the sky to die

Oh fly - it echoes in history
Turning the tides in the heavens above

Fighter pilots in exile fly for foreign land
When the battle's been won trouble 401
Fighter pilots of Canada in the battle of Britain
Guarding the skies of the isle

On wings of history they turn from home
To live eternally sky bound they roam
In all of history, never before
Was more owed to so few

Fighter pilot in exile!

  • ... tell the story again to the 310 ...

... MEN FROM CZECHOSLOVAKIA in the battle of Britain ...

    ... makes me feel proud.

  • Awesome song. About the Battle of Britain, and mentions the 401 Canadians. Doesn't get much better than that for me.

  • @Ramanoser Every country involved in the war committed brutality. It was a war. The British Empire was brutal a lot of the time, but it didn't CRIPPLE the countries it ruled in the way Russia did and when I say Russia, I mean the USSR. I'm sure many Russians also felt the communist government strangled their country. What I'm saying is the Soviet Union was a terrible idea and Putin has called its break up a tragedy. Nobody wants to see another iron curtain, including the Russians.

  • @22ndWave and i suppose the only people to do really stupid brutal shit during WW2 were russia and germany? you seem to be forgetting your history.

  • I am glad you have your country back today, but it is obviously still suffering for what Russia put it through. The US' gutless move not to put missiles in Eastern Europe because of Russian pressure is deplorable and no doubt due to the idiot president they have there. If Russia go communist again, with all the unrest there, and try to bludgeon Poland again, you will not be alone. Russia have gotten away with too much brutality to be allowed to reform their union. UK/POLAND

  • As a Brit, I never thought of Poland at the end of the war. I suppose the reason Poland was left to Russia (a betrayal), was because EVERYONE was scared of Russia. They were a hell of a lot more terrifying than the Nazis. They could just throw wave after wave of their people to their deaths in order to swamp an enemy. It was wrong to betray Poland, but I honestly don't know if Britain, the US and the surviving allies could have took it back by force. A huge thank you to Poland. Hard workers

  • we could win the war again with the fighters that our heros flew

  • @wasiuuu1 But the best pilot in battle of Britain was from this polisch squadron was the czech(oslovakian) pilot Josef František :-)

  • Damn speeding tickets. I gotta stop listening to this song while I'm driving...

  • 4 russians!
