That very panel is used in many different screens. I have one in an L1975NW, has blown caps. Replaced caps, but most of the time you need to replace the MOSFETS and a fuse or two. What happens when you use cheap no name caps :(

My monitor needs caps replaced, im trying to take my apart and it wont seem to work, im gonna try what you did, i got all the screws out but the frame is stuck, i guess like u said, u may break some or all the tabs, but its better than a paperweight. Thank you! An honest video!

a tip for NOT breaking those little tabs on most monitors, laptops and other such devices is a butter knife or the plastic tool that is used on bicycle tires for dismounting the tire/tube.. I have only broken 1 or 2 of those tabs on most jobs I do.. I have no video's up ... yet.. but may start soon, been in the pc/IT biz for 18 years..
1 question where did you get your capacitors from for this repair.. I have a viewsonic that is identical (may want to title your video's with model/type)

@CoolUnderFire21 the method is pretty rough (first to admit it) but it's only holding on the front face of the monitor. This one was a freebie so no skin off my nose.
RS Components is a good source for most caps in Australia & UK worth checking out if your close.
