Dead People - Film Experiment Test 2 Zombie Make Up

This is a short test, practice film. Designed to test new Kino Flo lights we got, a Merlin unit, some make up tips we got from BFX episode: http://youtu.be/eOzUBoRInz8

It took hours to do the make up. It was fun and messy.
Didn't know what to film so we sat around and I wrote the script in a couple of hours to try to make the test film at least a little interesting.

Poor Katonya (Grayson's wife) was forced to participate after a hard day teaching at the elementary school. But she was a good sport about it.

Don't expect oscar stuff since nobody in the film is an actor and the three main dudes in this movie were also grips/camera/lights and audio personel. Not too shabby for a crew of three making a test film!

This is actually impressive. Very nicely done guys. I'm looking at buying a Canon 7D and have been hesitant. How did it hold up with the Steadicam for you? Easy to use?

@MrImHome - the 7D did fine with the Merlin... but be aware, it is quite difficult to set up. I am probably going to sell my 7D rig and the lenses for 75% of the original price...I want to use this money to buy a Panasonic AF100 camera. We are going to shoot a short ten minute film in November and I will probably rent the AF100 because it's got tons of cool features to make video shoots painless.

@matreyia Not a problem! So you're selling the merlin and 7D? or just the 7D and lenses? I was a bit confused. And for how much total?

@MrImHome - Probably just the 7D and lenses. I would have to pull out all receipts and calculate the price, then figure out how much to subtract from me using the camera...I got so much to do now, it's not high on the list of priorities. I will get back to you if you like.
