@devonsdad that is not a tongue it is classified as a foot
all the members of the Mollusc phylum, in this case the class Bivalvia, posses a foot for terrestial locomotion

I am just getting some of these responces. Thanks for correcting me about the scallop thing. I dont remember the name of the actual beach but it is on an island off of North Carolina.
