Freddie truly shows the many facets of his being, the extent of his talent. How he lovingly looks at Monserrat is so sweet. The fact that he was nervous to meet his idol despite how talented he was himself just goes to show how much he was just like everyone. Freddie really opened up culture to many, myself included who didn't know much of opera nor Monserrat Caballe.

You truly see Freddie's talent, how many facets he truly had to his being. The fact that he was nervous to meet his idol as talented as he was in his own right shows just how much he was like anyone else. He's so sweet and looks lovingly at Monserrat it's very touching. Freddie really opened up a world of culture to many, myself included, who otherwise didn't know much of opera nor Monserrat Caballe.

@gordiam Montserrat Caballé is only comparable, as a soprano, to Maria Callas. Her especiallities in opera are opera vera and bel canto, this is something that very few sopranos can say. In 1987 and 1988 Caballé was on the Top of her career, this is not a problem of being old. She has one of the best pianíssimo tone which flows like a feather in the air. People all over the world (people who knows a lot much than you and I about opera) is totally blewed up with this woman´s voice.

as a soprano Caballè could give so much more, 4:20 to 4:22 the black girls of the chorus hit the highest note while she was singing "for your fire".. i'm so disappointed.. they could chose a younger soprano who could still hit higher notes. Freedy's voice is so powerful here, I love when he roars a bit in the running :)
