until now i am still amused by some joshi fans who claim that KAORU is a spot monkey. according to those who have watched more joshi stuff than i did, by joshi standards, KAORU is a spot monkey.

anyway, shu just returned from mexico after honing her wrestling craft there with atsuko emoto. if you have seen her stuff before, you would notice the differences

  • Excuse my ignorance, but what is a "spot monkey?" Does that mean "hot ass Japanese woman wrestler I really want to have sex with?" Because if so, Kaoru is a spot monkey.

  • spot monkey (according to those who called her that) is one who is more concerned of showing around that she can do the highspots similar to the stunts performed by jack evans and jeff hardy than actually wrestling

  • It's more a matter of ring psychology than greco-roman wrestling.

What the people who accuse her of being a spot monkey mean is that she'll ignore the psychology/flow of a match and bust out some moves just because they look cool. I only noticed that in her GAEA days.

Now, with the stripping and dancing thing; it's safe to say a man at a strip club knows nothing about dance BUT it is imperitive for a pro wrestler to have good basic knowledge of Olympic-style wrestling.

  • Thanks for the info. What morons these critics are! Complaining that someone isn't interested in actually wrestling when they are involved in pro wrestling is like complaining that a guy isn't actually interested in dancing when he goes to a strip club. It's not the point! If they were really interested in real wrestling they wouldn't be doing what they do; they'd be training for the Olympics.
